Exemption from Military Service

Each Egyptian has to do the military service upon reaching 18 years old, and he is not allowed to do it if he reached 30 years old.

Each Egyptian must have military number, which is based on his Egyptian personal ID.

The military service can be exempted for the following reasons:

1. Having duel citizenship.

2. For the only son of deceased father or more than 60 years old.

3. For the only son of divorced mother and he’s now over 30 years old.
