For obtaining Egyptian Criminal Record

The Consulate General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in San Francisco extends its compliments and presents the following instructions in order to obtain an Egyptian criminal record:

1. Both Egyptian and non-Egyptian citizens can apply to obtain Egyptian criminal record up to date.

2. Obtaining Egyptian criminal record is done on 2 steps:

I. Send to the Consulate a letter requesting the wish to obtain criminal record form and enclose the following:

q Cashier Check or Money orders payable to "Egyptian Consulate" for $20.00 for each record needed (personal checks and money orders are not accepted).

q For mail, please enclose self-addressed stamped envelope to send the form back.

II. The applicant must complete the criminal record form, and must note the following:

1) Mention the reason of applying for the criminal record and to whom it will be submitted.

2) Fix a recent picture of the applicant to the form.

3) Put your fingerprints either in the consulate, before any US police station or by a Notary Public.

4) Send the form back to the consulate with the copy of the applicant passport.

5) For mail, please enclose self-addressed prepaid express mail .

3. The Consulate will send all these documents to the Ministry of interior affairs in Egypt, which do the inspection and send the form back to the consulate after that.

4. The process will take not less than six weeks (6 Weeks).

5. For translation the criminal record form into English, the applicant must enclose another money order for $25.00.
