Translation of the documents
The
Consulate General of the
1. The original document must be submitted to the consulate to be translated; the copy of the original document is not accepted.
2. In order to Translate a document, this document has to also be authenticated by the consulate.
2. To consulate translate the following Egyptian or American
documents:
q Egyptian
and American Birth and death certificates. In case of death
certificate, the Egyptian passport of the decedent should be submitted
to the consulate for cancelation then to be returned to the decedent's
family.
q Egyptian and American Marriage Certificate.
Egyptian divorce certificate. The consulate dosen't
translate the American Courts dissolution orders.
q Egyptian Driver’s license.
q Egyptian Criminal record.
3. The applicant must translate other documents by himself and send
it with the original document to the consulate to be
legalized.
4. Fees for Translation and authentication of a document is $50 ($25 translation +$25 authentication) and must be submitted as a money order or cashier check payable
to Egyptian consulate (personal checks are not accepted).
5. For mail,
please enclose self-addressed prepaid express mail envelope to send the
authenticated original document and its translation. The
consulate will not be responsible of any other kind of mail the
applicant may send.
