Translation of the documents

The Consulate General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in San Francisco extends its compliments and presents the following instructions to translate documents from Arabic into English and from English into Arabic:

1. The original document must be submitted to the consulate to be translated; the copy of the original document is not accepted.

2. To consulate translate the following Egyptian or American documents:

q Birth and death certificate.

q Marriage and divorce certificate.

q Driver’s license.

q Criminal record.

3. The applicant must translate other documents by himself and send it with the original document to the consulate to be legalized.

4. Translation fees are $25.00 per each document and must be submitted as a money order or cashier check payable to Egyptian consulate (personal checks are not accepted).

5. For mail, please enclose self-addressed prepaid express mail envelope to send the form back after inspection any criminal applicant records.  The consulate will not be responsible of any other kind of mail the citizen may send.
