To apply for the permit from the Egyptian authorities

For Immigration Approval

The Consulate General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in San Francisco, extends its compliments and presents the following instructions to obtain the immigration approval from the Egyptian Authorities in Cairo through the Egyptian Consulate:

1. The proof of immigration to USA is green card.

2. The permit when issued includes the names of all the under age 18 years old of family members, the spouse and over age 18 years must have their individual permits.

3. The Egyptian Authorities exempt the immigrant from paying the work permission fees, but it does not exempt form the military service. The smaller brother can be exempted from the military service if he’s the only person responsible financially towards the family after the immigration of the older brother.

4. The applicant has to complete the following form and signed before Consulate Official or before Notary Public and send it with the following documents:

q Copy of the first pages of Egyptian Passport.

q Copy of Egyptian birth certificate.

q Copy of US green card.

q Copy of Egyptian ID.

q Copy of completed or exempted military service certificate.

q For women, an approval of the husband must be obtained.

q 4 recent photographs.

q Cashier Check payable to "Egyptian Consulate" for $10.00 (personal checks and money orders are not accepted).

5. The process consumes about six (6) Weeks pending the approval of the Ministry in Cairo.
