السيدات والسادة ابناء الجالية المصرية

           ولايات الساحل الغربى – الولايات المتحدة الامريكية

تحية طيبة وبعد،،

يطيب لى أن انقل لكم نبأ صدور المرسوم الرئاسى رقم 65 لعام 2010 بتاريخ 19 /3/2010 بنقل مقر القنصلية العامة لجمهورية مصر العربية فى الساحل الغربى للولايات المتحدة من مدينة سان فرانسيسكو الى مدينة لوس انجلوس.

و يأتى هذا القرار استجابة لمطالب ابناء الجالية فى الساحل الغربى ، وذلك فى ضوء سعى مصر الدءوب للتواصل مع ابنائها فى الخارج والعمل على تحقيق مصالحهم.

و انى بهذة المناسبة اود ان اشيد بالتعاون الكبير والمساندة القوية التى شهدتها القنصلية العامة من ابناء الجالية فى مدينة سان فرانسيسكو ومنطقة شمال كاليفورنيا طوال الاعوام الماضية. و تامل البعثة ان يستمر هذا التعاون وهذة المساندة مع انتقال مقر القنصلية العامة الى منطقة جنوب كاليفورنيا.

و أعدكم انا وجميع اعضاء القنصلية العامة ان نبذل قصارى جهدنا لخدمة الجالية المصرية فى الساحل الغربى، و أن نعمل على دفع التواصل بين شعب مصر العظيم و شعب الولايات المتحدة من اجل دعم و توثيق العلاقات بين البلدين.

LETTER FROM THE CONSUL GENERAL

 My Dear Fellow Egyptians,

It is with distinct honor to inform the entire Egyptian Community in the West Coast that His Excellency President Hosni Mubarak has just signed a Presidential Decree Number 65 for the year 2010 "Relocating the Consulate General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in San Francisco to Los Angeles, California."

This declaration comes in response to the request and petition of the members of the Egyptian Community in the West Coast.

This big step is being taken only with the sole purpose in mind – that is, to further serve the Egyptian Community within our jurisdiction.

I would like to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude to all our fellow Egyptians and friends – old and new – in Northern California for their relentless support and cooperation all throughout these past decades. It has been so much pleasure getting to know you and being of service to all of you.

This is not goodbye as we are committed to continue in Los Angeles what we have started here in San Francisco – with a promise for a better, more enhanced and efficient service. I hope to receive your usual support and cooperation that you have demonstrated to us during these past years.

To the Community in Southern California, it a great honor to be able to bring the Consulate closer to you. I look forward to start delivering a more improved Consular service to our fellow Egyptians. Your request from the Egyptian Government to have the Consulate close to you has been promptly answered and that is a sign that the Government is attentive and responsive to your needs.

It is my hope to capitalize on the great strides what you have achieved in developing a more dynamic and unified Community – such endearing and celebrated Egyptian virtues which we are very proud of. 

U.S. and Egypt are partners in peace, prosperity and stability in our region so I intend to invest in this relationship and promote the historical and cultural awareness between our two countries, continuing to bolster our commercial and bilateral relations as well.

I have great expectations and, together with the entire Consulate Staff and your support, I look forward to a more fruitful period as your Consul General.

Thank you very much and all the best to yet another milestone in the history of the Egyptian Mission in the West Coast.
